There was no separate deal with pro-Russia separatist leader Alexander Borodai for Malaysia to secure the black box, the return of the remains of those on board Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 as well as safe access to the crash site, Putrajaya said today.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib announced the breakthrough on Monday night with the Ukrainian separatists, who have since handed over the black boxes and remains of most of the 298 people on board the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 shot down on July 17.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said today all parties understood the importance of the matter to both Malaysia and the world.

"There is no other deal beyond what was outlined in the three point agreement. This was confirmed by the prime minister to me," he told Lim Guan Eng (DAP-Bagan) while winding up to points raised by MPs on the debate on the crash of flight MH17 in Parliament today.
He said this was the outcome of the "diplomatic coup" by Najib who had painstakingly worked behind the scenes to secure the release of the bodies and black boxes.
The motion was later passed unanimously in a rare show of solidarity between government and opposition MPs.
The ill-fated Boeing aircraft was enroute to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam but it was shot down with what was believed to be a Russian-made SA-11 surface-to-air missile near the war-torn region of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine last Thursday, killing all 298 people on board.
Those responsible for downing flight MH17 have yet to be identified, with Russian and Ukrainian authorities blaming each other and pro-Russian separatists for the disaster.
Najib's negotiations with Borodai led to a deal "that achieved what more powerful nations, including Russia, could not", according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
The deal saw the bodies taken to Kharkiv, Ukraine on trains and are now on their way to the Netherlands by air, while the black boxes had been handed over to Malaysian investigatores before being sent to London for further probe.
The deal also provided for all international investigation teams to be given access to the crash site and that their safety is guaranteed.
Muhyiddin said the agreement reached with the separatists will not stop Malaysia's effort to seek justice on the international stage, especially if there was concrete evidence that showed the rebels were indeed the ones who brought down the plane.
"We will not forgive those responsible for this. We will stick to our pledge," he said in referring to the government's promise to bring justice to the victims' families.
In saying that the act of downing a commercial airline is heinous, cruel and atrocious, Muhyiddin said Malaysia will use its criminal laws to prosecute those identified to be responsible for the downing of MAS flight MH17.
He said criminal laws with extra territorial criminal application such as Penal Code and Aviation Offences Act 1984 will be used against those identified to be responsible in shooting down the plane.
Muhyiddin added Putrajaya will set up a special investigative team headed by police, the Department of Civil Aviation and other related agencies to start investigations. – July 23, 2014.
