FIJI:::Fiji reported to ILO governing body over treatment of unions

Fiji has been reported to the governing body of the International Labour Organisation over allegations of assault, harassment, intimidation, arrest and detention of trade union leaders.

The ILO's Committee on Freedom of Association has drawn the ILO's attention to Fiji as one of three serious and urgent country cases.
