MALAYSIA:::Nufam ikrar terus pertahan nasib 6,000 kakitangan MAS

Meskipun usaha membela nasib 6,000 kakitangan Malaysia Airlines yang bakal kehilangan pekerjaan cukup getir, Kesatuan Kebangsaan Anak-anak Kapal Kabin Malaysia (Nufam) berikrar akan terus berjuang sehingga ke saat-saat akhir.
Bagi Presidennya, Ismail Nasaruddin, pihaknya tidak akan menyerah kalah selagi belum berada di garisan penamat.

MALAYSIA:::Fulfil land pledge to MTUC by former MB, Selangor urged

SHAH ALAM: The Malaysian Trade Union Congress (MTUC) has urged the Selangor government to fulfil the pledge made by former mentri besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to allocate a piece of land for a training centre for private workers in the state.
Its secretary-general N. Gopal Kishnam said the training centre had been long awaited by MTUC as it wanted to train and educate employees in employee leadership.

MALAYSIA:::MTUC Sarawak has wish list for May 1

KUCHING: MTUC Sarawak has come up with a 20-point wish list under eight categories viz. ; minimum wage; minimum retirement age; cola (cost of living allowance) and high cost of living; more liberal trade union laws; foreign workers; corruption; and unemployment insurance.
MTUC Sarawak Secretary Andrew Lo identified liberal trade union laws as the key to resolving the woes facing workers in the country. “The New Economic Model (NEM) calls for the creation of a high-income nation for everyone.”
“You cannot have a high-income nation if wages remains stagnant by making it easier for employers to sack workers and reduce the influence of trade unions.”
