The Social Security Organisation (Socso) will launch its massive enforcement operation, dubbed Ops Kesan 2013, against employers who fail to make Socso contributions for their employees, on Sept 1.
Its chief executive officer, Datuk K. Selvarajah said a campaign to increase awareness among employers about Socso benefits and protection available for employees will be held throughout July and August before the operation is implemented in September.

He was speaking to reporters after launching the social security protection programme and Ops Kesan 2013 campaign at Wisma Perkeso in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Selvarajah said 3,326 employers were compounded [and fined] a total of RM2.9 million for failing to register their workers and late submission of accident reports last year.
"A total of 1,802 employers were prosecuted, involving fines of RM265,960," he added. -  copy from :::http://www.themalaysianinsider.com
