MALAYSIA:::Murders of two Myanmar panic Myanmar migrants in Malaysia

Two Myanmar men living in Malaysia have been killed recently and therefore Myanmar residing there are fear for their safety according to a Myanmar migrant worker Thiha.

“Although we are feared for our lives, we are still living at our places, and we pay more awareness to our safety. But some Myanmar construction workers said they didn’t dare to live anymore. Malaysia Police are still investigating the cases but gave no remarks. Myanmar embassies in Malaysia give no assistance or issue any kind of press release, yet. Some workers went to the embassy and ask for help,” he continued.
Myo Paing, chairman of Kuala Lumpa funeral service helping Myanmar in deceased cases was killed on July 8.
Likewise, another Myanmar named Aung Khin (Ko Tony) was killed outside of his house on July 8.
Malaysia is the second country where most of the Myanmar migrants work. As it is an Islamic country, violence towards Myanmar migrant workers and threatening of bomb to Myanmar embassy and Buddhist monastery have been common. Most of the culprits committed to killings of Myanmar were not seized till now.
In three days, two Myanmars were killed. To take sever action to those commit, Myanmar ambassador Tha Aung Nyunt and two military attaché  met officials from Malaysian Ministry of Labour on July 9. According to personal secretary Kyaw Zeya Lin of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, they are to meet with Malaysia Ministry of Home Affairs concerning the case.
