ILO to publish World Employment and Social Outlook ' Trends 2017 report



GENEVA (ILO News) - The International Labour Organization (ILO) is to launch its report.
This year's edition provides forecasts for global unemployment in 2017 and 2018, as well as unemployment levels in developed, emerging and developing economies, with detailed charts and numbers.
The report also focuses on the quality of jobs and vulnerable forms of employment, and looks at their impact on social discontent and the willingness to migrate.

It provides policy guidance on boosting economic growth and decent work opportunities around the world.
Embargoed electronic copies of the report, and associated media material will be made available to journalists (only) upon request, starting on the morning of Thursday, 12 January, by contacting newsroom@ilo.org.
For Geneva UN correspondents: A press briefing by ILO Director-General, Guy Ryder, will be held, under embargo, on Thursday, 12 January at 10:30 a.m. in press room 3 at the Palais des Nations.
The report and all associated material and information are under strict embargo until 21.00 GMT on Thursday, 12 January.
