MH17: Families must be adequately compensated

The International Labour Organisation (ILO) wants the next of kin to be compensated
and at least one next of kin be given mandatory employment by MAS.
J SolomonPETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Trade Union Congress (MTUC) vice-president J Solomon said  the ILO condemns and will not tolerate the shooting down of MH17.
He also added that MAS and the Malaysian government must allocate compensation for the families of the crew killed in the line of duty, which includes mandatory employment.
Solomon said that the gunning down of MH17 is also “a clear signal to everyone that an immediate and swift global intervention is necessary.”
“The world cannot be naive and pretend to wait for evidence to confirm Russia’s indirect or direct involvement in the murder of 298 people,” he added.
All workers, trade unions and human rights protectors in Russia should condemn the actions of their government for the death of all 298 people onboard.
“Russian trade unionists should join forces and demand the resignation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his cronies.
“It would be foolish for anyone to doubt Russia’s involvement in this disaster,” he added.
MAS, according to Solomon “is the pride of every Malaysian” and those responsible for the brutal killing of the 298 passengers and crew must be punished at all cost.
